AMONGST RELATIVES
Created as a commission from the House of World Cultures in Berlin (HKW for short) as part of a multi-site, multi-month interdisciplinary seminar on the Mississippi River, the book Amongst Relatives is based on interviews I conducted with experts on indigenous relationships with plant species. Amongst Relatives was one field guide released in a set of five written by project collaborators that interrogated the history of colonial land use in the Driftless Region of Wisconsin. The project was organized by Sarah Kanouse and Ryan Griffis.
